01 / START WITH THE HAND
The object begins where the hand meets the work.
We look at the small frictions first: how something opens, where the hand naturally reaches, what survives repetition, what interrupts flow, and what disappears into the process when it is working correctly. Design begins there.
02 / THE STANDARD
Four things every object has to answer for.
Material
Materials are chosen for the way they behave in the hand, on the table, and over time.
Movement
Opening, closing, carrying, reaching, turning — the choreography of use is part of the design.
Memory
The best tools gather evidence of practice. They should become more yours the longer they are used.

The Atelier comes from an active creative practice. That matters because the questions are different when the person designing the tool also has to live with it: Does it stay out of the way? Does it invite return? Does it feel considered after the novelty is gone?

One object at a time.
We are not interested in filling a catalog for the sake of having one. Each Series begins with a creative problem worth solving, then earns its way into the Atelier through use, material, and iteration.
